Yesterday I watched a movie of which the title is "Our idiot brother." There is a man named Ned and he is so tender-hearted and optimistic that people sometimes even say that he is retarded. For example, he was arrested since he had sold 'grass' to a whinning police officer. After he comes out of the prison, he finds that his girl-friend is living with a new boy-friend(who is also a good guy). He gets to live with his mother and three systers in a row under the parole. His systers have their own problems and he helps them to face and solve those by exposing some secrets by mistake.

The character reminds me of the Soske and Haru in the comics "Genius family company" by Ninomiya Tomoko. The actor playing Ned is Phebe's fiance in "Friends."
